Face Time

I love sipping coffee at my dressing table every morning (Chris grinds the beans at night and sets our coffee maker to brew at 6:30am) while I primp and preen. I put on some music and take my time, savoring the peaceful moments as I prepare for another day in the world.

I also sit at the same table every evening, sipping wine as I unwind from the day. I reflect and decompress while indulging in a bit of pre-bedtime pampering, and oftentimes find myself jotting thoughts, notes, and ideas into my journal.

While these rituals may seem frivolous to some, they are essential and sacred parts of my day. I am currently working on arranging a new corner vanity in our bedroom. A vanity speaks volumes about a woman's lifestyle and personality. It is an intimate space, and I am looking forward to creating one that is both elegant and functional. Do you own a vanity? What's your favorite part of each morning/evening?

All of these vanities are beautiful! And I think your morning and nightly vanity routine is so feminine and special! I unfortunately don't have a vanity, just more of a space where I can look in the mirror and get dressed. And I have random stuff all over that space, so I guess it says I'm just a big mess! LOL Anyway, I don't have any rituals either but now I want some! I usually wake up and roll out, then roll back in at night haha.

I've really gotten into body brushing using a dry scrub every morning before I continue the exfoliating process witha sea sponge in the shower. Doing it gets rid of dry skin, encourages blood circulation, maintains elasticity, and polishes my skin. It's also like a gentle ans simultaneously invigorating massage. It's a great way to wake up in the morning.

this is a great idea! i usually am doing all my makeup in the bathroom for the lighting. But i do not enjoy standing there. I want something old fashioned and dainty. My fav part of night is i take a long hot shower with nolights and just candles and chill out and relax from the long day. It feels so great. I then spray lavendar all over the bedroom and get ready to lay down. I also want to invest in fancy pjs and a nicer robe to just feel glamorous. love the ideas i got here :)

I love this post! One of my favorite topics. My routine is the same every morning and night. Lately, I've been including facials and deep masks for my hair into my routine. I try to do it at least once a week when I'm not lazy. I love how I feel after doing both. My hair feels healthier! For a facial I use the Olay Pro-C and it does a good job of getting rid of dead skin. Wish I wasn't so lazy so I could incorporate more into my routine! Love the ideas you posted :)

I'd love to say I have such an elegant morning routine, but it's not always all that glamorous. But the evenings are my time to really unwind. After dinner, I'll often light a Wasabi Mint candle and jump into nice hot shower (sometimes even a bath) and really use that time to unwind from what is usually a hectic day. I find that my thoughts are clearer once I'm that relaxed under the warmth of my oversized shower head. Then I go through my normal post-shower moisturizing and primping regimen, hop into a comfy pair of pj's and throw myself into the coziness of my bed :-)
