Have you guys heard of Pinterest? I stumbled upon this site while it was still in private beta mode and joined the wait list out of curiosity.
Pinterest launched several months back, and at first, I didn't understand the point of the site. Since we blog to share the things we love, re-posting them on a separate site seemed a bit redundant. But when I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about, I discovered an entirely new thrill of sharing ideas and being continuously inspired by others. I've been hooked ever since!
Pinterest is a social catalog. It's a place where people can share ideas, tips, photos, and links. Any time you find a "pin" that makes your heart sing, you can "re-pin" it and categorize it to your own board of choice.
While you have the option to edit the description field, each "pin" will also link to its original source. Brilliant! I've always kept folders on my desktop for cataloging ideas and inspiration, each file meticulously labled with original sources. I've taken those folders and created counterpart boards on my Pinterest, and it has totally simplified my collecting experience.
