दोस्त - Friends

This past weekend, Chris and I bid a bittersweet farewell to our friend Sanjiv as he returned to India. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a special, unexpected friendship, and can't wait until the next time we meet again.

Some of my fondest memories from Sanjiv's visit revolve around the time we spent cooking and eating together. We were always in the kitchen! It was fun trading recipes and sharing dishes from our own cultures. A couple of you have been requesting recipes, so I will be sharing a few in the upcoming weeks. Yummy! Stay tuned!

Well, Hello There!

I had a really great time catching up with friends and family over the holidays, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that quite a few people out there actually read this blog! I started blogging mainly as a creative outlet for myself, but it was exhilarating to hear that others have been enjoying the stories and photos I've posted on this site. It meant a lot to me, and has inspired me to continue sharing.

I truly appreciate all my lovely readers and welcome your feedback. If a post or topic ever calls out to you, I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. So, please tell me about yourself! What are some things you'd like to read about? Let's start a conversation!

I have a gut feeling that some major surprises and changes are headed our way this upcoming year. This both excites and terrifies me at the same time. My single resolution for 2012 is to just let life be easy. I need to unclench my fists and stop worrying, picking, and obsessing. Instead of constantly focusing on making things happen, I want to learn to let things happen. To continue living a life filled with peace, joy, passion, and faith, no matter what.

Here's to replacing fear of the unknown with curiosity.
